My Late Easter Mani

Happy Sunday everyone. I wanted to post the mani I wore on Easter but it seems I never did. I guess better late than never. Here are a few pics.

This was my first attempt at using my dotting tools that I bought months ago and have sat in my desk drawer since. I hope I did a good enough job. My base color is Anise Hint of Heaven and on my accent finger is Julep Claire. For the dots I used Wet & Wild Candy-licious (pink), Wet & Wild On A Trip (purple), Julep Blake (yellow) and Anise Chill Mood (green). I used the new topcoat from Julep and I must say that my mani was ready to go in 5 minutes. The downside is that even though I waited a while for the polish to dry a little before applying topcoat, it still made my dots bleed a little :(
Its not bad enough to stop me from using it...or buying another.

**All of the polishes in this post were either purchased by me or a gift from a family member.

Julep January "It Girl" Box

Hi! Is everyone having a good weekend? I've been working on a project so my post is super late. I apologize. I have been geiing my Julep boxes for a few months now and I have never posted about them so I decided to show you the polishes I got in my January box. Here we have Julep Amelia, Nikki & Nina.

Amelia
3 coats with topcoat

Amelia is a sheer champagne color with a pearly finish. With 3 coats I was still able to see VNL. The formula was good. I had no issues with running, pooling or bubbles. It's a nice neutral/nude for work.

Nikki
3 coats with topcoat

Nikki is a sunny yellow color. In the bottle it looks more like a highlighter yellow but it's much more toned down and warm on the nail. I wore 3 coats without undies and 1 coat of topcoat. This dried to a rubbery looking finish without the topcoat. The formula on this one was a little thicker than Amelia but not really hard to work with.

Nina
3 coats with topcoat

Nina is a beautiful spring time orange creme. I used 3 coats with topcoat and no undies. The formula and finish was the same as Nikki.

I really did enjoy these colors but was a little surprised to find them in January's box. I needed some warmth after dealing with December and I got that with my "It Girl" box.

Happy New Years Eve

Happy New Years' Eve everyone. I hope 2013 brings blessings of health, wealth and love to you all. I must say that 2012 has been quite an interesting year. Not so great but not so bad either. I am so grateful to be able to see another year come and go. Watching my beautiful daughter grow has been such a blessing. I wanted to enter our new year with lots of bling on my nails so here we have it. My very first attempt at real nail art.

Can you tell that the design on my middle finger is a glass of champagne? I hope to improve my art skills in 2013 :)

I used a bunch of different polishes for this but I can't remember all the names. I know i used China Glaze Some Like It Haute, China Glaze Glistening Snow, China Glaze Angel Wings, LynB Designs Luxury Tax, an Icing polish and the gold glitter on my middle finger is a Julep.

Everyone has a blessed and safe night.
